December

Good morning my sweet little peeps, how are you? Is your tree up? I know so many people have been working on their Christmas decorations already. I did pick up a couple of red cyclamen for the front porch pots but that's about as far as I've gone with the decorations. I'm working on the mood though, as you can see.

I checked into what I was up to last year on December first.. I was over at Elizabeth's and we were working on our Sweet Simple Scarf Sets. And she had cookies. Too bad Nick isn't there to make more. Because cookies=Christmas Spirit I believe.

You can still download that PDF, there are a lot of cute scarf sets out there just begging to be fixed up. Of course you can download my Come Around for Coffee pattern as well. It would be cute in some Christmas fabric.

Or like me, you can just drink some coffee, there's still 24 days to go.

I went out to the Poinsettia farm and bought poinsettias. I blogged about it last year. It's an amazing place and I have to go every year. I have them up and that is the extent of my decorating so far.

Also working on firing up my Christmas mojo ..... so far we have a naked Xmas tree staring at me from the living room .....actually I think its GLARING at me .... (and the only reason the tree is up is because Kid #2 LOVES Christmas and gets sick and tired of waiting for his disorganized mother to get her act together and just gets things in gear on his own !!! )

Argh...no decorating, we traveled for Thanksgiving and now I am back in the office. I did throw away the last of the gourds and the pumpkins on the front porch when we got home Sunday night! And only 3 weekends to go....

December, huh? I added another layer this morning. I don't think that counts as Christmas spirit. And I was kind of crabby about it. I did see some cute Christmas ornaments over at the Syko blog which I plan to have dear daughter make. Does that count?

Ha! Forget the coffee -- I'd make a beeline for that ice cream and those fab looking magazines! No decorating going on around here -- I've been too lazy!

Okay, the thing that I hope is helping me is www.northpoleradio.com There is something about Perry Como, and Burle Ives singing the songs my mom played on the turquise record player (where is that?) that makes me in the Christmas mood.
