Pros and Cons and Peeves

Yeah, the weather has been pretty nice here. I thought it was supposed to rain today, but in fact it was sunny and warm...and I actually drove to Target with the top down in the little car. (Which I parked in a row of compact spaces. It's a very small car. Then got wedged in between a Suburban and a Navigator, both encroaching into my spot and then the Navigator lady complained to me she couldn't get into her behemoth of a vehicle!!! THEN DON'T PARK IN A COMPACT SPOT. How did she get out in the first place? Sorry. Pet Peeve. )

This is the downside of living in such nice weather is the never ending yard work. I was looking over here on Karen's blog, that snow day picture scared the you-know-what out of me!

See it's mid December and there's still tons to come. We'll be raking in January. But way better than snow, right?

Mmm delicious afternoon snack. Have a good weekend my lovely snowflakes! xo

p.s. Remember there are giveaways a both Holly's and Elizabeths!

I'm with you. I have a mini cooper and I barely take up any of the parking space. I can't stand it when some hulking car then parks next to me and I can't get into my car!!

Enjoy that lovely weather. We are freezing our tushes up north!

Hmm...that's a lot of leaves! I think I'd get tired of raking & go for a blower with reverse & bag and suck those things up!

I am fortunate to stay home most days so the snow & cold aren't oo bad! (Have you ever visited your cousin in the winter?)

We've been raking acorns by the gazillions here. But I agree it IS better then shoveling snow. Anyday!

Parking lots are such a pain. Especially when they have other people in them. Ugh. ;-)

Big cars and their large ego-drivers... around here they are as plentiful as dropped leaves, but not nearly as pretty.

I remember once when I was hugely pregnant with Sara, someone parked a big hulking beast of a car too close to mine. I could not squeeze into the drivers side and I was too big to scoot across from the passenger side. It was a ridiculous situation to be in. And I wanted to go home and use the bathroom! I waited over an hour for the creep to come and move their stupid car. Hope they felt guilty.

Our leaves have just about all dropped so now I can start getting things really cleaned up if it ever stops raining! You should see my daughter's front yard! She lives in Modesto, city of trees. You cannot see the grass for the leaves!

I could write a book on parking pet peeves. But people who say "I could write a book" is a also a pet peeve of mine - so I'll just email you them to you, k.

Also a pet peeve... people who find some weird, annoying way to say "I'll email them to you".

I noticed that you had a picture of a spinning wheel. A few months ago I bought one at a local tag sale. My sister has had one for years and I so wanted one. It needs cleaning badly but I'm so happy to have it...
I'll get to that after Christmas.
Best wishes for a happy christmas season. Linda

I'd be annoyed about that parking situation too. Hmmph. Your weather looks beautiful. I do like the snow this time of year though...by the end of January I've had enough!

Well you could have said "TAWANDA" and had some parking lot fun.

As long as you have better insurance that is...
