Tiny

Wasn't it just the end of February that I discovered a hummingbird making a nest outside my sewing room window?

Well just this past weekend I noticed a little beak sticking up out of the nest!!! That just seems fast, but the internet assures me 15-18 days is about normal. I've lightened up these photos so you can see there's two hummingbird chicks in there. Not that cute either. Can't wait to see them zooming around the back yard. This is undoubtedly the coolest thing going on out there, including all my flowering trees!

Very tiny and it'll be fun to see them zoom...but I have to tell you Pam if they are like the doves we had a few years ago, the poop on the deck out weighed the cuteness really quick!

Oh... but kinda cute in a not that cute way. Just the concept of something so tiny and fragile, alive and growing, is adorable! Two new hummers in your garden~ very cool.

Oh, how precious!!!! I always envision heaven to be a place where these little creatures won't be afraid of us and we can actually hold them. Looking forward to more pictures as they grow. You must come up with names for them. I vote for Warf and Weft!

Doesn't this make you feel special? We had a hummer build a nest and raise 4 babies in a spider plant on our balcony last year. It gave me such a kick, even though I almost threw the babies away one afternoon because I thought the eggs had gone moldy. Thank goodness one moved enough for me to see its beak!
