Wow it's Friday

So by now you've all headed over to the Aurifil blog and downloaded your cute stitchery pdf right? I sure hope so because Roseann's Snowbird is darling. She had thread kits you can order and when I read her 'behind the scenes' post, she said she's got more plans for this.. so be sure and watch her blog. Honestly, I'm a regular follower of Roseann. I met her years ago when I visited her shop with my cousin. You know when you meet a kindred spirit? Yeah, it was like that.

This week has totally gotten the better of me. I cut out some fabric for asterisk blocks but some how totally squandered my time. I mean I was busy, but doing what (besides dancing) I don't know.

Oh, I do know. Trying to get a good photo with my camera. I admit I was a bit full of myself and tried to use some of the other features, the not so automatic ones. Honestly, why doesn't it come with feature that includes cropping out stuff in the background? I need way more of a blur than what I'm getting. WAY MORE. Maybe they just haven't figured out what kind of icon to use to illustrate it?

Of course I could clear the table, hang up my sweater and purse hanging off the chair. And yes that is a candy bar.. emergency Rocky Road rations. You never know.

Ok my delightful peeps, have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

You have far less crap around than I do in my studio. It multiplies on it's own. I am loving the Aurifil stitchery and will be stitching along.

My sewing space is full of crap too! Somehow that room becomes the dumping grounds for anything without an actual home!

Yes! I have my Snow Bird ready to stitch. Thank you for inspiring me! You know, Pam, we can learn a lot about you from the stuff in the background. :) Don't crop too much as we love you no matter what might lurk in the background. Sewed with Mom on Wednesday and you came up. She is so thrilled with your success and, quite frankly, misses all her California quilty friends. ~Kelly

I love the labels, too. junk in the background is just fine. I was taking pictures of my kids and hadn't noticed all my bras had been pulled off the drying rack and strewn around the room. Distracted by the cuteness, I guess. Maybe that's what you need to do- always put something distractingly cute in the pictures and nobody will notice the other stuff! Have a good weekend!

Howling! You know, whenever I see a perfectly orderly studio I know for a fact sh*t don't happen in there! :) And the candy bar? We all know it is the perfect fuel for the uber creative brain! Cute stitchery, I have it on my list! Hugs!

hahaha! i love your photo labels, Pam! so funny. I usually end up standing on a chair taking photos looking down so none of the crap makes it into the frame! ah, the things we do...
have a great weekend! xo

It is ok...life often involves crap. When crap happens I am grateful if it appears in the background! ;-) Have a wonderful weekend!

1) I love your labels.
2) Use your aperture setting to blur the background and set it on a low number. How low it can go will depend on what kind of lens you're using. My all purpose lens goes to a f1.8 which will make your background nice and blurred. HTH! :)
3) And sometime come to my house. It will make you feel so much better about yours! lol

Sometimes you gotta pull out the posterboard to reflect light to the photo and cover the background.

We have backgrounds. And back. As in "baby got back".

Gotta eat the emergency chocolate cake now.

OH my! How did you find your way over at my place I wonder??? I suddenly feel very intimidated to make a decision for my cutting and quilt making. You make such fantastic blocks. The type of blocks that are waaaaay out of my league. But... I might step out of my comfort zone this time and try a completely new way of piecing. One year down quilting road it is time to step up the level and explore some new stuff I believe. Thanks for popping over. And as much as I am intimidated by your visit I feel very encouraged and flattered as well. Zip on with your coffee and have lovely weekend. I'll keep you posted on my choice. ♥♥♥ Annette
